The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has initiated a project to design and deploy a communications infrastructure and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) in the Western Massachusetts region as part of the Commonwealth's transportation system. Construction will take place along Interstates 91 and 291 between the Connecticut and Vermont borders.

Holyoke
Construction continues on I-91 North median and shoulder between exits 17 and 18. Expect possible lane closures and delays. Observe all posted signs and proceed with caution
Springfield
Construction continues on I-91 North median and shoulder between exits 10 and 14. Expect possible lane closures and delays. Observe all posted signs and proceed with caution
